Walter Denny

Managing Director

After experimenting with hallucinogenics and other substances at Art College, Walter joined Benton and Bowles as a studio junior, rising through the ranks to become a Senior Art Director. From here he was headhunted to join the fledgling Knightsbridge Advertising as its Creative Director, where he was responsible for winning many awards. With his fellow directors he built Knightsbridge Advertising into a major creative force that resulted in the agency being purchased by an international group.

During this period Walter became increasingly aware of the benefits of better and direct client access to the creative process.

Walter founded Head to Head, now called Them, with the intention of providing a more direct interface between a client's marketing objectives and the generation of ideas. This formula has proved to be very successful - Them now has an impressive client list that is blue in chip colour.

As well as being a strategic influence on Them clients, he is a key speaker on marketing techniques at the Johnson & Johnson Vision Care Academy.

At the weekends Walter can be found down on his farm in Devon where he plays out the role of country gentleman, hunting, fishing and shooting trespassers.
